Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your CultivarKeeper account, what happens to your data, and how deletion differs from signing out.

How to delete your account (in the app)

  1. Open CultivarKeeper on your iPhone.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Read the warnings and confirm you understand the request.
  5. Type DELETE ACCOUNT exactly as prompted.
  6. Optionally choose whether to also remove data on this device.
  7. Submit the request.

After a valid request, your account is scheduled for deletion after a 14-day recovery window, you are signed out immediately, and you may cancel during the recovery window. Deletion is not instant.

14-day recovery window

For 14 days after you submit a deletion request, you may sign in and cancel to keep your account. If you do not cancel within 14 days, we intend to permanently delete eligible cloud account data associated with your account.

If the recovery window has passed and you need help, contact contactus@cultivarkeeper.com.

Cancel deletion during the recovery window

  1. Open CultivarKeeper and sign in with the same Apple account.
  2. If deletion is scheduled, you will see a recovery screen.
  3. Choose Cancel deletion and continue.

If you cannot cancel, email support with the Apple ID email associated with your account.

What happens to cloud data

When the recovery window ends without cancellation, we intend to delete account-linked cloud data, including backed-up records, cultivar profiles, timeline data, and photo metadata.

Photo image files: CultivarKeeper does not currently store photo binaries in the cloud. There are no cloud photo files to delete in the current version.

Infrastructure backups: Our database provider maintains short-term scheduled backups for disaster recovery. Residual copies may persist for a limited period (currently about seven days in our provider dashboard) before expiring. These backups do not include separate storage objects such as future cloud photo files.

What happens on your device

By default, requesting account deletion does not remove CultivarKeeper data on your iPhone unless you choose optional local removal during the request.

Record photos are stored on your device. Account backup saves photo metadata, not image files. Restoring on another device will not restore photo images from cloud backup in the current version.
